Outreach Program |
|
- A free and confidential service for women 18 years and older who are, or have been, abused by their husband, common-law partner or in a dating relationship. |
|
- You can be abused in many different ways: physically, mentally, verbally, emotionally, financially, sexually, or spiritually. |

- Scars aren't just on the outside. |
|
- We can meet in a safe comfortable atmosphere which can include your home, the Outreach office or a public place in your community. |
|
The Outreach program focuses on each woman's individual needs. |
|
- Counselling: a safe and confidential place to speak about your experiences and to explore your options. |
|
- Safety Planning: information about ways to keep yourself safe whatever you choose to stay or leave your relationship. |
|
- Advocacy Services: assistance with understanding and protecting your rights when dealing with government, legal and community agencies. The Outreach worker can make calls, write letters or attend appointments if requested. She can also complete disability assessor reports. |

Community information and referrals. |

- Accompaniment to court and legal appointments. |
|
- Group Sessions: sessions vary, so please inquire if interested. |
|
- The Outreach worker is a qualified counsellor who specializes in working with women who have been abused. |
