"WING It" Creative Re-use Project
The 2nd Annual "WING It" creative re-use project challenges people from all walks of life to take a good hard look at their discarded stuff, and make something marvelous from it.
There's a treasure-trove of cast-offs around the home, the spare room, den, attic, basement, crawl space, garage, carport, barn, and/or shed out back just gathering dust and destined for the landfill. It's all just waiting for a little creative touch.
You can sew it, glue it, use hammer and nails and/or weld it. We don't care what you do, as long as it creates a new item that works and/or is decorative. Please try to make it environmentally friendly (ie - non-toxic). And remember . . . The deadline is Friday, August 13, 2010.
All our wonderful "WING It" submissions will be sold to highest bidder at auction on Wednesday, September 8,2010. Last year more than $3,000 was raised in aid of regional women and children facing domestic abuse. The "WING It" creative re-use project is a fund-raiser for the South Okanagan Women in Need Society (SOWINS).
